New from Quince is their home lighting products including pendants, sconces, chandeliers and flush mounts. In this review, see which Quince lighting we tried and how our no-demo reno elevated our bathroom.

When Quince rolled out lighting fixtures, I had to take a look. Could this be a new chance to consider some upgrades for our dated downstairs bathroom?
In this review, I’ll go over Quince’s current lighting offerings and the other things you can get from Quince to cosmetically elevate your bathrooms. You’ll see how the Quince lighting we chose worked for us in our downstairs bathroom, and how we paired it with a chic Quince mirror.
What I got (Quince bathroom picks)
We moved into our house and one of my most prioritized to-do items was a “no-demo reno” for our downstairs bathroom. A “no-demo reno” is a renovation that doesn’t require demolition: it’s also known as switching out fixtures for a “cosmetic” renovation. I’d know: I used to work for a kitchen and bath remodeling company!
We got one Quince lighting product, and a large bathroom vanity mirror of the same finish (gold), to give our bathroom an entirely more updated look. I was SO excited.
- Triple Globe Steel Sconce
- Arched Metal Framed Wall Mirror
- We already had: a Quince shower curtain and Quince towels

Quince’s new lighting products: a summary
By now, you probably know that Quince is a company that operates totally online and makes luxury for less. I own a heap of Quince products: everything from my Quince jeans and new linen skirts, to Quince’s best-selling bedding, plush towels, hard-shell carry-on suitcases and even baby/toddler clothing (so cute).
But lighting? This comes after Quince rolled out the furniture category some time ago, and I couldn’t stop perusing the bed frames, statement chairs, ottomans and now, deck furniture.
So back to the Quince lighting options, Quince is offering a few select modern chandeliers and pendant lights, as well as sconces and flush mounts.
In our case, we had already replaced all the flush mounts on the first floor and in the basement. The bathroom was the easy next project, and I started adding the Quince sconces to my wish list.
The styles are mostly mid-century modern, and sleek, coming in matte black, nickel, gold and chrome finishes. A few are not to my taste (the modern farmhouse stuff), but the more classic and tasteful products like the Globe Steel Sconces seemed doable.

Ordering our Quince lighting
Like all my other orders from Quince, this was easy. I added the Triple Globe Steel Sconce and Arched Metal Framed Wall Mirror to my cart. I chose my payment option, set my shipping destination and double-checked all my details. I checked out, and got a confirmation email.
What I want to tell you about ordering lighting versus other things from Quince like all the clothes I’ve tried (if you see my Quince for petites review and my Quince maternity collection review!) is that the lighting shipped more slowly.
And that’s fine. This isn’t Amazon Prime after all—not many things in life ship as fast as your same-day and next-day shipping. The Quince lighting arrived in about a week, and we didn’t even open the box for another week (we should’ve, to check for damages).
Had the lighting been broken, though, I wasn’t worried. Quince has been very good to us in the recent past with shipping damages and has sent us replacement items for anything that has arrived broken. I detail this in my East Fork Pottery (from Quince) review.

Quince mirror
Just to be clear, we did also order the bathroom vanity mirror from Quince. I had had bathroom vanity mirrors in my Quince wish list for about half a year and it was finally time to own one.
I’m glad that getting the sconce lighting pushed me to save (and snag, while it was in stock) the arched mirror in the gold finish.
Despite the fact that the rest of our bathroom currently has polished nickel finishes (faucet, shower head and faucet, drain, toilet flusher and vanity hardware), I wanted to go forward with the boldness of gold. Plus, all those things can be updated a la carte.

Before and after: my Quince bathroom upgrade
Here’s the finale: how our bathroom looked before our Quince facelift, and after.
I’ll have you note: this bathroom was listed as “renovated” in the mid 2010s by the listing for our house. The entire bathroom was painted a sea-foam green by the seller, right before we moved in. The bathroom itself is kind of like a blank slate, and was waiting for us to make some design choices about it.
The former mirror was a shabby-chic piece, and the sconce was what we call a “Home Depot special”—pretty bland, pretty outdated and not our style at all.
So, here is the total before-after. What do you think? We had friends over recently and they loved it. (See our Quince towels?)

Installation of Quince lighting
In our experience, we can only speak to the Triple Globe Sconce that we ordered, not the other single-arm sconces, chandeliers or pendant lights that Quince sells.
With Dan’s knowledge of house DIY stuff (he’s good!), he chose to install the sconce on his own, rather than hire our electrician. I trusted him on this: if he thought he could do it, he was welcome to give it a shot.
There was one thing to decide: should we have the sconce face “down” or “up?” I asked my two design-savvy friends from my kitchen renovation company, and they said to face it down. We went with it, and had to somehow maneuver the mirror as well as the light fixture, to slightly overlap, not hit each other and also not BREAK.

Dan’s tip for DIY and electrical is to hire someone at least once and watch them do the work. Have them explain changing 1 fixture for you so you can understand the basics. Watch a ton of YouTube. And don’t forget to turn off the breaker!
Is Quince lighting worth it?
If you like the Quince minimalist and timeless aesthetic and you’re already shopping Quince, then I say yes: check out what Quince is offering in terms of lighting. You might be surprised. If none of it is your style, then of course, shop elsewhere. I have some recommendations for other vendors for lighting, but when I looked at what Quince had on the website, I liked what I saw and I know how easy it is to shop on Quince’s website.
If you can, consider the entire aesthetic of your bathroom, kitchen, hallway, bedroom or family room (or wherever you’re installing new lighting fixtures). I suggest determining if Quince’s product offerings match up with your vision.
Additional bathroom elements from Quince
It’s no secret that Quince’s success started with things like all the Quince home collection products. As a matter of fact, I already have some thoughts in my Quince towel review where you can begin.
Aside from towels, bath robes and bath mats, though, there are a few things we got for both the bathrooms in our house that I like from Quince. We have Quince shower curtains in both rooms (see the review here). Well, you already know about the arched wall mirror that we got from the Decor section. I’m also considering Quince’s affordable bath mats.

We started with some neat deco for our showers, seen in my Quince shower curtain review. I also own the Rattan Bath Accessory set and I actually use the little garbage can in our bedroom, for some organic texture. The Rattan Hamper is in our bedroom as well, although if you have space in your bathroom, it would look really nice in there.
Lastly, check out our Quince rug review, because you may be glad to see all the success we’ve had with Quince rugs. There are performance rugs that could be good in larger-style bathrooms, and even some indoor-outdoor ones to use if you have a pool house that has a bathroom in there.
Do I like Quince’s “larger” products?
I have to say, every time we get something “big” from Quince, like a rug, or a set of East Fork stoneware, or a cutlery set, or a big set of bedding, I’m always pleasantly satisfied.

For the prices and the quality (except for the Bamboo Sheet set - if you read my Quince sheet set review you can see exactly what I experienced!), I’m always happy to say “I got it at Quince!” when friends come to visit and compliment our throw blankets, throw pillows, wooden bowls, guest room bedding or even, my toddler’s bath towel.
